Draytons FIRST T-ball practice

On Tuesday May 28 Drayton had a t-ball practice. I like any mom was a little nervous on letting him because
1. He could get hurt
2. I don't want my baby to grow up
But as nervous as I was this wasn't about me but, about him playing and wanting to be involved with something. He went out there and they had all the kids run the bases .. Drayton and many other kids went prolly first on to second and cut through back to base one lol he did this 2 more times until he was told about third base. He took off from there!! They then separated them into groups to practice tossing the ball and to learn how to do a ground ball. And I kid you not he CAUGHT a ball I cheered and was so happy for him he even shouted in happiness!! Ground balls were fun for him as he told me across the field. I kept hearing him asking one of the coaches how she was gonna get home? (Like he was really concerned and would drive her home if he could drive) then he was telling the coach he had to go over to the other group because his "girlfriend" was over on that team (anyone who knows Drayton, knows this to be true. I still have yet to keep track of all of them). They seperated into the dugouts and then came out to bat and be placed in the field. Drayton was standing right where the pitcher would stand. He grabbed a couple balls and threw them to first base. Next up Drayton was to bat. He did an AWESOME job at batting!! Ran to first, second, third and made it home!!
I was proud of him and I'm sure he was of himself as well. He's got practice coming up again this Tuesday and a game hopefully soon.
