(hint why my blog is called The five G's)
The year of 2012 April to be exact I was over at my friends house. Talking with her about a guy someone had mentioned to me that was newly single.
She showed me a picture of the guy, he was in her wedding and AT her wedding I had told her I thought he was hot but she informed me he was married with a kid. That was off limits, didn't think about it after that until April 4, 2012.
My friend Raven, had texted John (mind you it was pretty late when she texted him) but he came over anyway to come meet me at her house!
We actually hit it off and I was impressed...
We started talking... and talking A LOT!! he would come over to my house and we would hang out and get to know one another.
I have never felt this way about anyone, we seriously were the perfect match..
He moved in with me cuz we couldn't get enough of each other and and wanted to be around each other all the time so we decided to take the next step!!
Months went by and I couldn't believe that someone so sweet liked me as much as I liked him. He was becoming my best friend that I could tell anything to. After finding out that we both wanted the same thing from each other and talked about having children.
I find out we were expecting November 30, 2012
we both were very excited and both had hoped for a little girl (since we both have a little boy)
We went to our first appointment and comfirmed we were due July 27,2013 and the look on his face was priceless, I could tell he was gonna be absolutly amazing.
shortly after we had celebrated our first BIG holiday together.. Christmas!! I opened all my presents but had one left.. John instantly had a huge smile on his face but the box was HUGE so I knew it wasn't like a ring or anything.. I started to unwrap it and opened the box.. it was stuffed with paper..
"are you kidding me?" I started to laugh and taking the paper out of the box. and discovered an even smaller box inside. opened it up and it was absolutly gorgeous JUST A PROMISE RING!! but that was fine with me
We had an appointment and was told what we were gonna have..
IT'S A BOY!!
we decided to name him Brody Jaymes.
We had a gender revel session (March 8th) to surprise everyone with what we were having.. I had a bunch of props and the session was going so good the Hunter and Drayton (older brothers)
at the end of the session Raven (the photographer) was just standing there looking at the pictures on her camera as John took my promise ring off my finger and started to play with it.. he stuck it on his pinky finger and Raven started to take more pictures of just him and I together..
I'm a little naive and just started laughing not thinking anything of it.. and then... he started to get down on one knee told me he loved me and "will you marry me?"
I didn't know what to think I started to cry and kept asking if her was serious.. and I even told him he was kidding and to get up he was gonna get his knee wet (there was snow on the ground.) he told me he was being completely serious.. and of course after about 5 mins I finally said "yes" and gave him a hug I then was finally convinced he was being serious and wasn't just playing around.
The whole time I didn't know he set it up with Raven right before the gender photoshoot had started for her to capture it on camera.. SERIOUSLY?!!? a MAN thought to have a photographer capture such an amazing event in our lives.. I'm glad he did I still look at our pictures and come across those and get goosebumps and feel happy and the same excited feeling I felt that day that some day I will marry my best friend and will share his last name!!
we plan to get married May 23, 2015
